my hood. on a grey sunday.

17 Feb

after spending half of the day in bed, reading, chilling, sleeping and watching my new favorite tv series ever, i decided it might be a good idea to go for a walk (and ignore the five hundred shades of grey outside). so i made a little lazy stroll through my hood.

first thing i passed was arielle’s macarons which is only a few steps from my door. as it is sunday the shop was closed… unfortunately. or fortunately. depends from which perspective i look at it. but i had some of arielle’s macarons before and they are delish! if you’re ever around the corner, go and get some.

ther’s a reflection of my beanie in the window and i think, i would pass as a raspberry macaron as well, don’t you agree? Bildi kept on walking. meanwhile i was listening to the shirelles on my ipod. you can do so too if you wish…

i passed some bananas….

this banana is actually a very famous one. the german artist thomas baumgärtel sprays bananas on the walls of galleries since 1986. you can find them in germany on over 4000 entrances of galleries, museums or other kinds of art spaces

Bildi passed a very surreal scene. a helicopter had landed in the middle of a street because an accident had happened there. it was a weird scenario when the huge helicopter took off in the middle of the buildings. i hope the injured person is fine.

Bildi kept on walking.

and walking…

this building looks a bit rosemary’s baby-ish, don’t you think?

Bildand then i got hungry and went home.

snuggeling up under a blanket now with a tea and some more episodes of “girls”. aah, live is good.

how was your sunday?

i’d love to know ❤

    Wow. Der Hubschrauber!

Hab die Serie “Girls” selbst nicht gesehen (sehe mich auch nicht als Zielgruppe) aber letztens einen interessanten Beitrag dazu gelesen:

the enfilade (or is it only thus if Inside a house?) – the long colonnade – caught our attention – a place to hear the click-click-click of laced up shoes with cuban heels and the swish of long camel hair coats.

and the lovely flowers – a hint of Spring?

we are about to post pictures of flowers from a Garden preview.

    stay warm over there!

yes, oh yes! i hope it is a hint of spring!
and the colonnade is one of my favorite places in my neighborhood. it is always so vast and empty in the winter. but in the summertime there’s many kids around there because outside of the picture on the right hand side there is a square with a fountain where they jump through the water on a hot day.

your letter reached me today and what can i say. i love it! i love you (and i don’t mean it in that american kind of way, where people say that after the first encounter: “ooohhh, daaaaarliiing, i love youuuu!”— you know what i mean)
will wrire back to you soon xxx

‘Girls’ is a great show, and if you love Tv shows you should try “The following” (with Kevin Bacon). Just started a few weeks ago. For me, best tv show this season ! Really really good.
And thanks for the stroll and the pics btw.

oh, i am always open to new suggestions and i haven’t heard of ‘the following’ yet, i will try to find it. thank you 🙂

That building is VERY reminiscent of Rosemary’s Baby (which I just saw for the 5th time in 3 months this very week).

‘The Following’ is indeed good – bloodybloody – but in addition to Kevin Bacon, take the time to enjoy James Purefoy as the cult leader!

the funny thing is… last december i’ve been to the original rosemary’s baby house in NYC but i think, this house here in berlin looks so much more like it.
i just watched the trailer of “the following” and i think, it could become a new favorite. thanks for the hint again
